Privacy

This site is a brochure with two contact forms on it. There is no account to make, no cart, no tracking pixel and no advertising network — so this policy is short, and it is specific rather than defensive.

What this website stores about you

Nothing. There is no database attached to this site, no cookie is set by it, and nothing is written to your browser's storage. You can browse every page here without leaving a record behind.

If you send a message

The contact and business forms take your name, your email address, optionally your organisation and a subject, and your message. Those are turned straight into an email and delivered to the same mailbox that contact@araneidinteractive.com and business@araneidinteractive.com forward to, where the studio owner reads it. No copy is kept on this website — there is no database behind the forms, and once the email is handed to Cloudflare for delivery this site retains nothing.

Your email address is used to reply to you and for nothing else. You will not be added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list. Messages are kept in the studio's mailbox for as long as the conversation is useful and are deleted when it is not.

Spam protection

The forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which decides whether a submission came from a person without profiling you or tracking you across sites. It is used instead of a conventional CAPTCHA precisely because it does not build an advertising profile out of the answer.

Analytics

If page analytics are enabled, they are Cloudflare Web Analytics: no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, and no data that identifies an individual visitor. That is why this site shows you no cookie banner — it has nothing to ask your consent for.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare's network. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the requests your browser makes — IP address, browser type, the page requested — in order to serve the page and to block attacks. The studio does not receive or keep those logs.

Who else sees anything

Two, each doing one job:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, spam protection, delivery of form submissions as email, and analytics if enabled.
  • The studio's email provider — receives the forwarded message, the same way it would if you had emailed directly.

Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with anyone else, and there is no advertising or data-broker relationship of any kind.

Our games and apps

This policy covers the website only. The studio's games and apps have their own — and they are shorter still. The Endless Murder requests no device permissions at all and has no network access; Mobile Journal is designed so your writing stays encrypted on your own device with no account and no server. Where a title has its own policy, it ships with the title.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and, where it applies to you, the GDPR, you can ask what personal information the studio holds about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. In practice that means the emails you have sent. Write to contact@araneidinteractive.com and it will be handled within thirty days.

Children

This site is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone knowingly. The studio's games carry their own age ratings on the stores that list them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described on this page rather than quietly swapped in.
